Dade County FC was one of 109 Open Division teams accepted for 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualifying. U.S. Soccer listed the Miami club as a UPSL entrant.
On 10 September 2023, Miami Soccer Academy won the first-round qualifier 4–1. U.S. Soccer’s official review identifies Ewout Gouw as DCFC’s equalizer and confirms the final result.
